Vitsoe shelving - do you have it?

Of course this is not the world's most important thing right now but if were going to be stuck at home then DP and I want to crack on with the home stuff we had long listed.

A vitsoe shelving system was on that list and I wondered if any other MNers have it in their homes and can share their experiences? Was it worth it?

Ours would be in a hallway and used mostly for storage and a bit for decoration.

Thanks in advance

I don't have it but if you like it, it is probably a design classic.
I'd plan the storage carefully, as open shelves need to be clean and tidy, things like coats and shoes tend to look messy and might be better in a cupboard.

You are probably more organised than I am, but I'd go for a combination of slim wardrobe type cupboards and a few shelves.

We have it. We’ve moved house twice with it too, so DH is becoming something of an expert in installing it! But the way it can be reconfigured so easily has been a winner for us. In the current flat it’s mostly in the living room, all along one wall with books and records on shelves above, then cabinets nearer the ground with TV and record player on them. I love the way it looks like everything is “floating”.

I absolutely love mine and have never regretted it. It’s in the living room and goes along one wall. Bookshelves above and cabinets / drawer units below. Super practical and fabulous looking. But understated. I’m going to get a desk set up for elsewhere in the house to take the pain out of working from home!

I would kill for Vitsoe. It's a modernist classic. We have several friends (architects Grin) who have it and they love it. If you ever get tired of it it's the kind of thing that really holds its value second-hand.
