Two roller blinds?

We moved recently and my daughter has some grey blackout roller blinds fitted inside the recess in her two windows.
Her room faces the street and she feels very exposed even daytime when they are up. She doesn’t want window film, nor voile .
I’ve seen these www.blinds-2go.co.uk/roller-blinds/22647/oculus-modern-grey.html
They would need to be wall fitted, then she could roll then down during the day when she’s in there . Would this look odd? To have two roller blinds one inside recess and one outside . I can’t think of any other solutions ! Obvs the outside ones could be kept very slightly down to slightly hide the top of the inner recess ones.

So she doesn't want curtains? I think the blinds could work, but two blinds on each window might look odd... I think I'd try to persuade her to replace the blackout blinds with those you linked, and have curtains for nighttime privacy.

Thank you, we actually took away some old curtains and installed these blinds, so I don’t want to take them away. I’m wondering if the new privacy (sheer) can maybe fitted underneath but slightly lower (the blackouts are kept a few inches down anyway so might hide). Would that look better ?

Is the windowsill deep enough for a folding freestanding screen? Same principle as this

We've done this in our living room, albeit with the privacy roller blind under a thicker roman. We managed to fit both in the recess, just about. It works really well, the privacy blind can be pulled up and hidden entirely behind the roman, but we have it down most days due to the size of the window and open front garden.

You can get double roller blind brackets for exactly this - one sheer blind and one blackout.

But this would mean removing the ones you have just got, though you could probably reuse the blind itself, just not the end brackets.

Another option is to have a privacy panel which is a piece of voile fitted to the window permanently (or semi permanently) with velcro tape. You’d need it cut to fit the window exactly. Or if it’s a standard size upvc window then perfect fit may offer something like this off the peg
