Does anyone have a radiator cover in their kitchen? I recently got one in the hallway and love it so I'm thinking about getting one in the kitchen but not sure if it's a thing or would it look odd??

Not odd know a few people who do. You can use them in any room. I use them just for somewhere to display vases etc

The only thing to bear in mind is the amount of heat that will be lost. I was told that this can be up to 70%. We have one in the hallway and I really wanted one in the kitchen but ours is a large sociable kitchen and we eat at the table and often sit there abd chat so heat from the radiator is needed and a radiator cover wouldn't work for that reason. It's a shame as I think they do look lovely in period houses but I wasn't prepared to compromise heat for looks.

I had a granite shelf above my kitchen radiator. It matched the granite worktop (an offcut). It was between the rad and the wall mounted TV immediately above the shelf.

So a smart shelf may be a good compromise.

I have white painted ones from eBay (Yea I know, sounds cheap) but they are actually lovely. I have them on every radiator in the house!
