Alternatives to beading for a novice

Hi all- my beading has come off/ broken/ lost sections but the laminate has worn surprisingly well. So I want to re paint skirts and put something else down. I’ve seen some tape stuff- anyone used it or any other alternative that I don’t need to shape/ cut corners (the irony doesn’t escape me there!)

Anyone?

Sorry not sure. Do you mean the beading between the wall and worktop? I got a joiner to replace ours years ago.It didn't cost much. Or do you mean the wider edge because you can buy it and glue it down it is quite flexible.

Are you talking flooring? I've recently used white chamfered architraves from Wickes (fully finished so no painting) against the edges of my laminate floor. Previously I'd used matching trim but I prefer the crisp white border Smile

Sorry not sure about the tape and the architraves would need cutting but not a hard job.

What size is the gap?

Sorry- it's for flooring - was wooden beading there but it's come away. I'd like white as I'd like to paint skirts satin white too. Cream currently
Thank you!

It's a tiny gap really. Maybe half inch but back when we had it fitted, everyone had matching beading but I agree I'd like white

Sounds good! I have matching oak trims downstairs as I was new to hard flooring but I've gone off them. I only have short skirting (original) so they eat up more of it.

The white chamfered architraves blend into my existing skirtings upstairs and are thick enough to cover the gap. I'm a fan Smile
I'm sure it wouldn't cost too much to have a handyman fit them if you didn't fancy it.
