What else can I do?

I want a safari theme nursery.. this is what I have so far.

I wanted a small round table for a potted plant but I honestly have no idea where I could put it :(

We dont have the changing mat or bits like that yet, so the elephant nightlife and giraffe is just sitting there waiting for a home in the room.. maybe a shelf?

What can I do to being out the safari these more?

What else can I do?

Hang a trailing plant from the ceiling?

Fake grass rug 😊

Mine had a safari themed room when they were a bit older, (3, 6 and 8). We had blue and green painted walls, safari bedding, loads of animal soft toys and lots and lots of plants. They were quite indulged though because 3 of them were sharing.

I would like lots of plants in there.. possible good more expensive artificial ones as I can barely keep my aleo vera alive..

I've been looking at the melissa and Doug giraffe to put in a corner with a tall floor plant, but £90 on a stuffed animal makes me wince.

I'm struggling for space more than I thought I would!

Could you put up some floating shelves for plants etc to go on? You could use wall decals too?

Alicewond · 07/09/2019 05:03

I doubt the baby will care. He/she will be happy just to have you. The nursery is for you not the baby

@AliceWond

Yep. I'm quite aware that while shes a baby shes not going to notice her room.. quite happy to admit I wanted to decorate the room for my own satisfaction aswell as make it nice for when she grows up.

Did you have any helpful input? Halo

So cute!! I second the decals, stuffed animals and plants on floating shelves.
We've gone for a dinosaur theme (another to happily admit, for me, not my son) and we got a money box with dinosaurs on it, a night light shaped like a T-Rex and dinosaur shaped scatter cushions for my feeding chair. Not sure if any of that will serve for inspiration.

I am on my phone so can't see the pictures that well after the first one with the animal pics which are lovely.
I can't see passed the pine furniture in the rest of them.
I love indoor plants but they do attract midges and other creatures of the flying sort unless you really tend them and spray them to keep them bug free.
By all means but I wouldn't do it in a child's bedroom.
Lighting is always atmospheric Smile

Might be a silly question but would artificial plants still attract bugs too? I definitely dont want to be spraying things and swatting flies in her room!

I bought a little elephant shaped night light in a little boutique in France, it's so sweet!

I'm thinking of a stuffed tiger on top of the wardrobe, but I dont want it to get tacky. I feel like what I want to do might be bordering on 'too much'

I was going to go for a dinosaur theme if we had a boy. I love dinosaurs myself anyway so im sure my live of Jurassic park will rhb off on LO when shes older Grin

So many decisions to make!

It looks lovley so far but not particularly safari themed. I would say more green Is needed I'd get good quality artificial plants, you can get some lovely high end wall murals/ decal and get some nice stuffed animals.
