Small west facing kitchen - paint ideas?!

Can anyone help? We have a small west facing kitchen with quarry floor tiles, wooden units, olive green cooker and can't decide on a paint. It was a bright yellow which is now a bit much, we have repainted the other day with Valspar fresh leaf which is foul. My DH wants something "bright" and not "boring" but I am wondering if we would be better if we went for something more neutral. We would like something that would add warmth. Are F&B worth it? Any ideas/advice gratefully received.

Could you post a photo? It can be easier to see a suitable colour this way!

Are your floor tiles terracotta? If so, with an olive green cooker, you already have a lot of colour. I would possibly look for a neutral tone of either of those colours. So very pale green (James White?) or a warm neutral for the terracotta. Also depends on how sunny the room is and which way it faces.

Hopefully this link will work. It's west facing and the picture was taken in the late afternoon. photos.app.goo.gl/565grEew9bX8FVEL9

Are you going to keep the tiles? I wouldn’t go for a bright colour as it will look too busy. I suggest picking the colour of the softest pink of one of the tiles and using that as you have strong colours already in the wood and tiles themselves.

I would go with the sagey green in your tiles. It will tie in with the cooker then.

To be honest, I would go with plain white. There is a lot of colour in this room already-including the units, tiles, cooker and floor. It needs a plain background to give the eye a rest. And all your colours work well with white.

Thank you all for your very wise words. We have now put on the first coat of f&b new white and it looks amazing already, much calmer and bright. DH thinks it's all his idea and I don't care as I've got the one I originally wanted! Anyone want a pot of the bright green or egg yolk yellow that he originally thought might look "cheery" ??!!!!! 😂
