Hello, I'm just wondering if anyone can share some inspiration on unisex nurseries.

I'm due in September and we want to keep the sex of baby a surprise but everytime I Google or pinterest ideas everything seems to have pink, blue themes.

It's a box room but it's quite light but I dont want to make it feel too cold.

Thanks for any help.

White always works,it’s bright, easy to clean and freshen up paintwork
If you want colour add accessories.youre not obliged to chose a stereotypically babyish zoo/space/farm theme
By too cold do you mean stark?

We also wanted a suprise so went for a very pale green with some Beatrix Potter bits and pieces. It just looks really nice and fresh and now she's nearly 1 she likes finding the characters around the room.

Thank you, I mean cold by neutral cool tones.
We have a grey hallway and I always feel it was a mistake as it looks cold

Congratulations about baby,v exciting, I never knew my babies gender, wanted a surprise
Get some white a4 paper, paint colours you like on the A4 and pin to the wall
see how you feel about the colour at different times, and over a few days
Being A4 it’s large enough you get an idea and you can remove the paper when done
You can get a webcam, pair to your phone and that way you’ll see baby too
All mine had own room from birth,it worked well. Got a cot bed so no need to change to bed

A friend's nursery has pale yellow walls with a bumble bee theme and accents of pale blue. She didn't know the sex of her baby beforehand either. It's really lovely in a world of white/grey/gendered trends.

We ended up with pale yellow, and I picked out a border in a kind of medium turquoise and terracotta - sounds weird written down but it worked, honest!

I think really pale blue is lovely for a girl or boy, maybe with white bedding etc. Treat it like sky and add some hot air balloons or something. It might not be a traditionally warm colour but it's not as stark as grey.
