Farrow & Ball Conforth White alternative?

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a similar colour to Conforth White by Farrow & Ball? We considered this for our living/dining room but aren't prepared to pay the pricetag that comes with it, especially with young toddlers about...

We have a big open plan living room/dining room separated by an arch. Dining room is south east facing and living room is north west facing so been struggling to pick a colour that would work in both, perhaps the Conforth White wouldn't even work...any recommendations?

Cheers

Farrow and Ball is lovely but you must remember the appropriate undercoat which stinks but the top coat on the walls is a dream to apply with a brush (never a roller). You can get it in Modern Emulsion which is wipeable for toddlery fingers. I prefer Estate Emulsion for the chalkier finish.

For a South East and North West Aspect I would not recommend Cornforth White because it will look cold in the North East but stark in South East. Try a neutral. I picked Dimity (first apply undercoat white and light undertines) for the North East Front Room,

Oxford Stone (first apply mid tones undercoat) for an East bedroom that has a portrait style window. In the large bright kitchen I have All White (first apply White and Light undertones) which is like no other white. It accentuates the bright aspect but not in a stark way. Think Icing Sugar white as opposed to chewing gum white.

(approx £39 for top coat, £45 for undercoat)

For budget option try Sainsbury's Sanctuary range. Lovely hues.

Or for a practical wipeable range try B&Q Everywhere paint. I picked one called Blue Light which is like a slightly New England blue.

Johnstones Paint are brilliant at matching F&B colours, and the paint is more durable too. For lighter shades you'll pay around £25 for 5 litres.

I used Dulux Dusted Moss 2 for woodwork and radiators in a room with F&B Cornforth White emulsion on the ceiling and cannot tell the difference between them.

Some other v close alternatives suggested here too:
