How would you dress this window and door?

This is my annexe, currently being done up!

I need a curtain over the door as it is SO ugly, and due to the configuration of the room it is in constant view.

I was thinking of having one curtain pole with a pair of curtains for the window, and also the door curtain.

So when the curtains are drawn, the bit between the window and door will be all curtain.

The curtains are a stone colouted blanket lined linen.

Thanls!

Do you want the door to be covered all day or just in the evening? Could you put one curtain pole across the window and door and have a pair of curtains that meet in the middle? During the day you could tie one or both curtains back on each side.

I want the door covered all day really, but as it is such a small space I think a door curtain rail (which is the obvious answer)might look too fussy. But maybe not?

I can't put anything on tje other side of the door as there will be a wood burning stove too close.

I think it's perfectly fine to have one long curtain pole along the wall and then to add all the curtains (door and window) to it. It would be the same as dressing two windows which are close together but instead of the second set of curtains opening on both sides of the window yours will open to the left of the door to avoid the stove. I would make sure you have plenty of material though so the curtains look "thick" and not as if they have been pulled tight and barely fit the space/curtain pole.

Similar to this but without the curtain on the right hand side of the photo ( and a door instead of a second window! )
