NEXT furniture delivery

Ordered several items of bedroom furniture from NEXT which they failed to deliver yesterday, but that's another story. My question is that I am being asked to sign a damage waiver in that if they damage the items, or my home, they are not liable. They say they won't deliver unless I sign it but don't feel comfortable about it, have never been asked to sign one before.
Does anyone have recent experience with this?

I recently had furniture delivered from Next and didn't have to sign a disclaimer. The men that delivered it were extremely careful and respectful.

Any suggestions, should I sign it? Am hoping to be able to rearrange a new delivery date today once the items have been returned and signed back into their warehouse

I wouldn't sign it no. If the furniture will fit through the entrance then there's no need. And if they damaged it en route there's no way I'd take delivery of it.

Thanks for the advice. Fingers crossed they will deliver or that's another argument with customer services!

If anybody is interested even with a 4 man delivery team they will not deliver the items without a signed waiver. This covers them for any damage not only to the goods they are trying to deliver but also for any damage they may cause to your property. Have cancelled my order with them and will definitely not be ordering furniture from them ever again!
