Can you please help to solve a battle, we are decorating and one of us thinks that we need to leave a small line at the top of the wall, the other thinks no lien should be left and the paint line should be flush with the ceiling.

I fear that WW3 is about to erupt, as neither of us are budging.

Which way should it be?

NO GAP

Bluntness100 · 27/10/2018 19:46

Has he never been in a house before or something,

Of course no gap 🤣

LittleBLUEsmurfHouse · 27/10/2018 20:18

No gap. - that's very weird and I've never ever heard of anyone doing it.

To stop there being paint on ceiling, get a proper angled brush, go slow and have a clean damp cloth to hand so if you accidentally get any on ceiling you can wipe it off straight away and no-one else need ever know you got any on the ceiling.

No pissing gap Halloween Envy

Do you want to borrow a felt tip, to colour in the edges Halloween Wink

I don't understand.

The line is where the ceiling meets the wall.
That is where you paint to.
There is no other line.

Why would anyone create an issue here.

3luckystars · 27/10/2018 20:31

You can get a cutting in brush that is angled and the handle is about an inch long. It should make the job easier.

Aren't you worried though that he MADE UP that thing about an invisible line.

Labradoodliedoodoo · 27/10/2018 20:32

NO gap. Your boyfriend has lost the plot.

3luckystars · 27/10/2018 20:33

Like what if he tells you that orange is 'in' or that you are supposed to put wallpaper half way up the wall and paint the rest?
The trust is gone now.

Labradoodliedoodoo · 27/10/2018 20:34

THe only gap is between his ears Grin

8FencingWire · 27/10/2018 20:34

Right, so is it him that left the gap? He should be the one that closes it then, why would you?
