DD wants wall of pictures and posters - any ideas that won't ruin the paint?

My DD aged 11 wants a wall that she can cover with pictures and posters. We had this a few years ago and it ended up a mess of holes, blue tack stains, peeled off paint! I had vaguely thought a massive pin board area - any ideas I am missing? Thanks!

Command strips for posters should work

Some friends of ours have painted a wall with magnetic paint, then put a coat of normal paint over the top. They use magnets to attach pictures and photos to the wall - no damage at all when they are swapped. It’s brilliant and I intend to steal the idea one day!

You can buy cork tiles - could put them across a whole wall or area as a giant pin board?

White board film? It's what we use in work.

I frame my daughters posters and hang them with command strips. They hold even heavy frames really well and don't leave marks. Alternatively. I believe washi-tape doesn't mark, but I haven't tried it myself.

It is a rite of passage for some children. I would let her do it with the warning that the wall wouldn't be painted for 5 years and she would have to live with it.

I let mine blue tac whatever they wanted to the inside of their door but they weren't allowed on their walls.

I would let her use blutak- my dcs can do in their rooms but nowhere else. Painting is easy enough

The blue tac didn't mark their doors I mean.

I allowed blue tac. It’s a stage, the room will need to be painted after a while anyway, why can’t they enjoy making some decisions of their own space? (That’s my opinion on it. It’s painted plain builders white though nothing expensive.)
