Paint colour for dark hallway

Hello - just starting to think about decorating our north facing dark hallway. It's a new build and currently has off white walls, which feel quite drab. I'm really confused as to which colour would work. I'd like to stay fairly neutral and add in colour by way of accessories.

If we went white, do I need to find one with green or warm undertone and any paint recommendations?

Thanks!!

you could go for white, if you like, with green undertones. however, you could also go for an actual colour, like blue? here is one i found

We embraced the dark and painted our dark hallway in a dark colour (Farrow & Ball Hague Blue) with white woodwork and colourful pictures/accessories. It looks much less dingy than it did when we had it painted off white.

I'd choose a colour, it's your hall, you'll only pass through it, make it more interesting! I'm having Wilko whispering sage in my hall, and all the woodwork will be pb white. All my other rooms are more neutral, greys, pale blues, white. You can get away with more in the hall.

I did contemplate a dark, but didnt have the courage. I went for Egyptian cotton which is a nice grey and I Love it. But I agree with the PP. Dark is the way to go. I am just too chicken.

I'm going back to off white or FB shaded white as we found the grey we used too oppressive in the winter months and it's not particularly dark! Have lived with it for 2 years and hate it. Our lighting needs improving too though. If you have good, bright lighting (spotlights perhaps?) it might be better?
