Where to go for good bedding?

I need to buy a lot of bedding:

3 x single duvet sets
1 x single duvet (possibly 2 if budget permits)
4 x single fitted sheets
4 x single waterproof mattress protectors - fabric kind not the plastic kind
2 x double fitted sheets
1 x double waterproof mattress protector - fabric kind not the plastic kind
2 x pillows

Budget is £0 but the purchases are unavoidable and so can use savings but would prefer not to spend too much, but at the same time my preference is bedding that will ideally last up to 10 years (as our current Debenhams and tkmaxx stuff has).

Had a quick look on Debenhams and tkmaxx but not really seeing any bargains and struggling to find the type of mattress protectors I need.

Where are your go to bedding places that fit the above bill?

Find a branch of Homesense and you will be able to buy the lot. It is the home ware arm of TK Maxx and they have brilliant bedding. Branded like Orla Kylie, Designers Guild, Sanderson etc. White hotel quality linen. Duvets, pillows, protectors etc. Happy shopping Smile

Bedeck, do really nice long lasting quality bedding, John Lewis usually pretty good, M&S possibly, mattress protectors dunelm do them at reasonable prices.
Another one that usually recommend on MN is soak n sleep I think it’s called.

Following.

Just moved house and have a new superking bed on order.

I'm after something which looks and feels expensive.

Also base sheets deep enough to accommodate a pillow top mattress.

I'll check out tk maxx. John Lewis?

Amazon have some good deals on duvets, pillows and mattress protectors.
Asda, Matalan and primark are fab for duvet sets which are cheap but still good quality.

Kaz2200 · 06/09/2018 06:48

Hi can I also ask for recommendations for some white bedding that feels like 100% cotton but easier to iron.

Monty27 · 06/09/2018 06:52

Tk max all the way. You have to keep going though. Even to other branches. It's hit and miss. But omg they don't sell rubbish. It lasts for ever. I actually got Hobbs pillow cases in there once. Who knew? Smile

I like IKEA bedding.

ElfrideSwancourt · 06/09/2018 07:01

Wilko do a wide range of lovely bedding.

LoniceraJaponica · 06/09/2018 07:04

I have bought cheap duvet sets from Amazon before and they aren't very nice. The material is rough, not very comfortable feeling and feels cheap.

Ikea and Dunelm are good. M and S is excellent, especially if you can find anything in the sale. John Lewis is good but expensive.

Jent13c · 06/09/2018 07:04

I just bought some from Homesense and love it. I also have one from m and s but they are much Moreno pricey

Camsie30 · 06/09/2018 07:05

I'd look at Dunelm, reasonable prices and decent quality

BobbinThreadbare123 · 06/09/2018 07:07

TK Maxx and Sainsbury's are my go-tos. Also had quite a few nice ones from Groupon, although you have to take the chance. If I want posh, I wait for Debenhams' sale and get the John Rocha ones. Dunelm have Dorma stuff, of which my single precious set has lasted 20 years looking good!

bairnk · 06/09/2018 07:29

Soak and sleep website for the pp looking for super king bedding, they do superking pillow cases, extra deep fitted sheets etc which are quite hard to find!

Twinkie1 · 06/09/2018 07:43

The Secret Linen Store is v v good.

aybeeseedee · 06/09/2018 07:44

Asda does fantastic bedding at very reasonable prices.

Bettysnoop · 06/09/2018 07:57

OP this store sells luxury bedding at discounted prices.

This bedding in particular is excellent value for the price... link posted below ... I buy all my bedding from here, the best brands in my opinion are: Sanderson, Dorma & Sheridan.

I saw a similar post on MN recently and someone suggested this website - www.visionsupportservices.com/shop/bed-linen

Can't vouch for it myself but prices looked reasonable

QueenoftheNights · 06/09/2018 10:35

Wilko do 100% cotton bedding which is good quality. it's slightly thinner than my John Lewis cotton but is fine really.

legolimb · 06/09/2018 20:27

Thanks for all replies.

I don't mind spending a bit more than supermarket ranges. I've bought cheaper bed linen all my life and am ready for something nicer to go on our fancy new bed Wink.

Will check out some of the online links as well as tk maxx etc

Thanks all
