Calling those who own a small bath...

We're converting an attic into a bathroom and would like a slipper bath. We're attracted to the smaller sized ones (www.betterbathrooms.com/1570-park-royal-slipper-bath) but only really due to practicalities of getting it up the stairs and the weight on the floor once it's up there. DH and I are tall but don't have baths often, in fact it's quite rare. It will be mainly used by our newborn.

Will I regret not buying a bigger bath? Are they uncomfortable to sit in?

Why bother with a bath if you won’t use it? Do a big walk in shower, it’s easy to put a baby bath in the bottom and room to kneel. We mainly showered with the baby though tbh

We would like to have a bath so that it's there if we want it (I've missed having this option recently) and also to be there if we decide to sell our house, which we might have to do in a few years time.

.,, and we're designing in a big walk in shower anyway. It's a big space but an awkwardly shaped room, with the eaves. A bath is a nice way to fill the space.

I think a small bath is a great idea, quicker to run, more water efficient and perfect for a child.
Have a look at Cara Sutherland on instagram, she has a smallish bath in an eaves room and it looks great.

We've got a small bath - not as nice as the one you're looking at though!

Very similar reasons to you - the bath in our house was originally on a different wall but the roof is sloping and there wasn't enough height there to have a shower over it , or enough space in the room to have a separate shower. We basically only ever shower anyway but wanted a bath for future children and as a selling point. We've got a walk in shower in the en suite too.

It works just fine, like a pp has said it fills quicker and I can probably count the number of times DH or I have bathed in it on one hand. You couldn't stretch out in it, so if you want a nice relaxing soak it's probably not for you, but we're really not bath people. I always think a bath sounds nice then I get in and just find it a bit too hot and sweaty so I last about 5 minutes!

I've got a 1520 (I think) Salisbury slipper bath. Yes, it's shorter than most other baths but it's also deeper so you do manage a lovely soak in it.
