We're decorating my son's bedroom and want to cover his mid blue walls with a warm pale grey. We've got a few sample pots but they seem to be drying with a lilac/mauve tinge. Any recommendations?

I've got Dulux Chic Shadow in my lounge. I don't think it's a dark grey, maybe mid? But I love it. It's very calming and soft.

Dulux Egyptian cotton- had that in the uk about 4 years ago. I'm assuming it's still Around ( I don't live there anymore )

We've tried lots recently in a south-west facing bright room - strong favourites (unfortunately) are F&B Blackened and Mylands Elgin. I love the latter one. Just on the warm side of neutral in our space.

Also on offer at the moment, I’m sure.

We used Dulux chic shadow in the end. Its a true grey and my son is very pleased with it.

I used Dulux Polished Pebble in one room and it is definitely a slightly cooler grey (blue tinge) - nice but definitely cool. Pebble Shore by Dulux is warmer a slightly browny grey. I like both but if you want warmer Pebble shore is the one to go for.

I also have Farrow and Ball Pavillion Grey and I see that as a very good mid grey - quite a solid colour and slightly darker than the two I mentioned. It doesn't seem either bluish or brownish in the room I have it in.
I am about to do another room in Farrow & Ball Ammonite and Purbeck Stone which look like they will be more of a browny grey and warmer. I tested so many in different parts of the rooms to see what they look like at different times of the day as they can look completely different. It's quite a long process making colour decisions!
