Baby wardrobe?

The room I'm thinking of already has a built in adult wardrobe, is it possible to adapt it so I can store little clothes in there or should I just buy a baby wardrobe and accept the loss of floor space? I'd rather not spend the money TBH.

DD has a built in one. She has a chest of drawers in there underneath so her clothes hang above it and drawer clothes below. Works great as no floor space taken up by drawers.

I’ve never adapted a built in wardrobe for babies, I’ve just hung babies clothes in there anyway. Was I doing it wrong? Currently using free standing normal wardrobe for baby dc3.

Is it extra shelving you are after? We’ve always used drawers alongside the wardrobes.

I could hang some stuff in there but it would be a really ineffecient use of the space as it's a full length adult one. Most of her stuff I fold. I'm also thinking maybe some hanging storage that I could attach to the rail.

She won't be little forever and soon enough you'll be wanting a full size wardrobe. I think the baby ones are a con, trying to get new parents to spend more money on things that aren't needed.

I agree. I might just see if we can add another rail, I'm a grown up and dont need a lot of storage for full length clothing myself.

Maybe add a another rail further down & either shelves or drawer unit on the bottom, my dd did this for dgd she keeps larger sized stuff/coats etc on the top rail.

Stick some cheap plastic shelving below the rail for storage of toys or next-size clothing or nappies or whatever.
