Calling Curtain pro's!! poles, pleats...!

So, I have a bay window to dress and I want to recreate this look. Eventually we'll have shutters on it too so the blackout/weight of curtains isn't too important, it's more the pole arrangement and pleats, how to hang them etc that I need help with!

So, where can I purchase a reasonably priced pole (preferably a DIY one with a bendy section?), and what loops/system do I need to hang the curtains? Do I buy pleated or pinch pleat? I'm ever so confused and my local John Lewis scared me even further!

Dunelm Mill have bay window poles, and they sell the elbows too.

With regards to pinch or pencil pleat, it's up to you, they use the same amount of material, only difference is how they look.

If you want floor length curtains you need to measure from the bottom of the ring to the floor, and the from the bottom of the ring to the ceiling. So they can ensure they've got the correct measurement.

I used to manage a curtain department Grin

Excellent! Thank you! From what I can tell both these images have rings from which a pleat curtain is suspended.... correct? How many rings does one buy??

And how much fabric width do I need for what length of window (80x140x80)?!??

Oh, and both the the images I think are pinch pleat, right??

OK looking at these magnified I don't think either of the poles are bay window bypass poles . I think it is showing three separate straight poles, hence the arrangement of the six curtains.
The poles have a very small diameter in both pictures.
I think one may be pinch pleat and the other pencil pleat.

You can sometimes, get the rings included with the pole or they have them in packs separately, the longer the pole the more rings you need.
Homebase, B&Q & next also do curtain poles, yy pinch or pencil pleat don’t look that different, you would normally double the width of your window to get the curtains to look ‘fuller’ most ready made curtains come fairly standard widths/lengths ie 46x90 66x90 90x90.

Really, 7to25? How do you think they've made the separate poles look so seamless? Honestly this is such a minefield I had no idea there were so many curtain options!

I think in the first picture that they have just cut the pole at an angle. Look where the fixings are. You wouldn't do that for bypass rings.
Also the angles are very sharp and the curtain arrangement was the thing that made me suspicious. Second pic not so clear.

But could you have this look with one long bendy pole?

I would say both pics look like single or double pinch pleats, pencil pleats look a bit informal in comparison.
