I need to choose colours to paint hall/stairs/landing and the ground floor which is all open plan.

I’d quite like a ‘lighter’ colour for the walls, with more of a ‘colour’ for the woodwork. Possibly a darker version of this for the doors.

Period house so deep skirting, high ceilings etc. It’s not a really dark house but not filled with loads of natural sunlight unless it’s a really sunny day.

I have a f&b and a dulux chart infront of me. Plus a load of testers left from painting the bedrooms. Going round in circles, please make some suggestions :)

Only thing I’m not keen on are the cold/bluey greys. Thanks!

This is useful for the grouping of f&btoning neutrals

That is very helpful! Thank you Member.

What sort of group would suit a period house, that is darkish?

Do you know which way your house faces/when in the day it gets most light?

Without knowing, I’d prob go for traditional as working with most or red based; people think of yellow and yellow-based as brightening but they can look more dingy in poor/northern light imo.

It gets sunlight on the front in morning (living room & front bedrooms) then sun on back in afternoon (kitchen/diner/family) thanks
