Wall art placement help!

We have re painted the lounge and I need to put something on the walls as currently looking very bland. The problem is I'm struggling with the main wall as I'm not sure what size pictures to put up or in what position. I'm pretty useless with this type of stuff! Any advice welcome. Picture of wall I'm struggling with attached.

You could hang something quite big on this wall if you wanted. But better to get good pictures than something bought for the size.

Also should I stick with the grey/ mustard theme for pictures or go with another colour. I quite like green leaf prints but will that go?

Any suggestions on what types of things would work well in the room? It's feeling quite bare.

I think green leaf prints would look nice! The furniture makes the room feel a bit heavy so that could potentially lighten it up. I'd also consider a mirror somewhere on that wall. Often an "L" sofa has one end up agains a window but here you have one behind you. So that wall feels a bit cramped to me, it's all wall and sofa.

Maybe do some prints that have white frames or a lot of white to them? Shelf with a plant on it?

Oops just saw you have a mirror over the fireplace. I feel like that mirror just makes everything seem smaller somehow. If you're not attached to it, id get rid of it and replace it with an oversized print. Then do a larger, simpler mirror on the other wall.

And don't get too matchy with colours!

Hi. Yes I was conscious I was running the risk of getting too matchy with the mustard so will try and break it up a bit.

I think A3 would be fine in big frames, but A2 even better. Green would be great, bring some nature in. Those prints are nice, but they’re also quite ‘now’ so you might not like them as much in a few years. I wonder if you’d enjoy something like one of David Hockney’s Yorkshire pictures, for instance?

Yes just looked and those David Hockey prints are fabulous! Woukd you still do 3 lined up or something different? I so want to be good at this type if thing but I'm just not!

But you could also have several smaller pictures eg one Hockney one leaf print one something else etc like a gallery wall.
