Kitchen tiles - best sort for disguising paw prints

We're in the process of buying a new build (tiny development, local builder) so can have any type of tile we like (just need to pay the difference in cost to builder). The kitchen/dining/family space will have bifold doors onto the garden and will be the way our far too many cats go in and out.

Our current house has gorgeous but completely impractical large off white gloss tiles which always look disgusting due to the animal prints (they were in the house when we moved in) so we don't want to invest in anything like that.

House will have underfloor heating downstairs. What would you recommend in terms of colour and type to hide muddy paw prints?
especially if you are bone idle and only steam mop weekly or when you have guests

I'm not sure how you get muddy cat pawprints on the tiles but I'd go for brown or grey as second choice. Something matt or stoney.

@tika77
Sorry if that wasn't clear - I mean floor tiles, not wall!
Cats go outside, then come inside through the door/flap = very muddy pawprints everywhere unless it is bone dry outside. We live very rurally so there is a lot of mud most of the year, both in our current home and where new house will be.
In the summer the chickens are also prone to exploring the house so it's not just the cats to contend with (they take free range very literally).
Grout will have to be dark too as that discolours so easily.

Something mock stone. There are some very good porcelain mock stone tiles now, with lots of "markings" so prints blend in.

A large washable mat near the door will also help take the worst off, probably needs to go all the way along so the cats can't choose to go round it!

I have a stone floor. To be honest it looks a bit like a patio. I have a big kitchen, country look as it’s a period property. With UFH. It’s not particularly glamorous but boy does it hide the multitude of mud etc the dog drags in with her. We’ve a large garden and whilst we have a front door we also have another front door in the kitchen and also bifolds at the back meaning the dog is always coming into kitchen from the outside. It never looks dirty, but when it gets cleaned the colour of the water sometimes is quite eye watering (especially if dog has been in and out multiple times on a wet day). My only massive regret is the builders grouted in Ivory grout, which looks dirty, I would advise using a dark grey grout. Here shows a pic of floor (not my dog!) I have a large hairy and very dirty breed.

I have terracotta tiles with a Matt finish and they don't show paw prints ( at one time I had ten pairs of paws coming in and out.)

Second the grey grout ( essential) and washable mat to absorb the worst of it.
