I am looking for recommendations for long lasting placemats. I have bought mamy different sets over the years and they have all ended up in the bin. We use our table for all of our meals.

I've just bought some slate ones, timeless and should last forever as long as I don't drop them! Have you looked in Dunelm?

We have cheapy cloth ones from IKEA which wash and iron well and also some of the cork backed ones. Over time the patterned side does scratch and mark.

We're about to send our slate ones to the charity shop - they're so heavy. Having real trouble finding alternatives though.

I have some placemats that are still going strong after nearly 30 years. They were made by Pimpernel who are still making them today

Silicone rubber. Heatproof stain proof and kid proof.

I've been looking for some new one recently and the choice is dire. There are some designs that have been around for years and years...it seems placemat design hasn't moved on.

I have some old Pimpernel ones..and yes still going strong but wanted a new up to date design. I got some cheapies in The Original Factory Shop. No where near the same quality though
