How would you tile this recessed splashback?

Not sure how to tile this - would be v grateful for ideas. Ideally I'd like glass tiles, but I think they may be too expensive for what's basically just a downstairs loo. Possibly mosaic? Or would that mean lots of cleaning because lots of grout? And would you tile the whole recess, or just the bottom half / enough to save the wall from water splashes?

I would not have it tiled, I would usexwall cladding. I put wall cladding in my en suite and it looks much better than tikes. Much easier to clean and cheaper than tiles.
The link below is to show you types of cladding. It is not a recomnendation to buy from them.

mirror? one solid glass panel with one or two small shelves.

I'd go with a sealed mirror and a combined light/shaver plug.

Mirror surrounded by glass mosaic tiles? B and Q have brightly coloured very reasonable ones.

Thanks all - mirror is an interesting idea, but the sink is pretty low and we are all 6ft plus, so it wouldn't be a functional addition as you'd only be able to see your waist... I'll have a look at the cladding idea & B&Q mosaics. A shelf would be useful to put the soap dispenser on I guess?

I'd definitely tile the whole thing, but I like quite a bit of tile. Depending on your taste/the rest of the room, I'd either do a feature mosaic or something fairly neutral and traditional. Either way a shelf could be a good addition provided there is enough height to make it useful.

I would have said mirror then tile bottom half but as you say it is low perhaps not. It would throw light out though. B&Q glass tiles are fine I used some in my bathroom because they had the exact colours I wanted. I would definitely put some on as it is messy without. We have a sink without at work and it always looks grubby ( the wall).
