Do you have candles around your house?

If so , how do you display them?

I saw some displayed very artistically on small cut log slices. I'd never thought to use wood.

Watching with interest. I just found some tea lights the same colour as my kitchen (just in a drawer, I forgot I had them, isn't it great when that happens Grin) and have put them in plain glass holders but would like some ideas of what I can do with them that will look a bit more interesting.

I'm not sure they are displayed as such, i have some jo Malone and white company candles on coffee table and side board, but they are lit often and placed where they are to best scent the room. They come in glass jars. Any candles for functional reasons, ie just light are in a cupboard.

I thought they looked interesting. 😊

They look really pretty displayed like that might have to do the same

I also use candles for scent. Otherwise they tend to be stored away. Candles on wood look a bit of a health and safety hazard. And if you never light them, then just a bit pointless...

Having said that, I did use to have storm lanterns in my old dining room. Here's an example off the internet.

I get large decorative holders to hide them in so they don't mess up my colour scheme Grin

Ooh love the storm lanterns.

I'm not at home so don't have a pic but I got some logs of different sizes and sawed them to various heights- e.g. one that's 20cm diameter and about 30cm tall, one that's only 15cm tall but quite wide, a short and narrow one. I then got a forstner bit for my drill and drilled some tea-light diameter and depth holes in the tops of the logs.

I can now sit tea lights in the logs themselves and arrange the logs in various ways. They look really nice all clustered together.

It wasn't difficult, took about an afternoon to do 6 of various sizes

I just bought a candle in a cloche in the sale at Sainsbury's. I'm going to display it on a console table in the hall with a vase with a single flower in it or one of those little decorative birds. Something simple.
