F&B: 3 day colour countdown conundrum!

...just that really! I have 3 days before going on hols for a few weeks during which time our bedroom will be painted. It's only ever been standard magnolia for years so I'm a bit lost on what to choose. I definitely would like a F&B colour and the room next to it has been done in pale powder which looks lovely.

I'm looking at colours and just can't choose. Pinterest has me obsessing at Peignoir which looks lovely online as a soothing grey-pink, but I'm worried that it might be too pink in real life? And also may clash /not flow with the pale powder next door.

The bedroom has one window which gets morning light and three at the back which get afternoon/evening light. They are not huge but their direction means it is a bright room. The bed is a cream painted wooden job, and the other furniture is mid-brown wood.

Anyone have any suggestions?? Have you used this colour and love it?? Would love some advice given I only have a few days left to choose! I'd also consider a grey or a good white??! Just don't want to be redecorating again anytime soon! Smile thanks!

I use F and B and you really do need to buy their sample tins as its virtual impossible to tell what the colours are really like from their colour card. For example the colour I'm about to paint my windows looks nothing like the colour card. I have about 30 samples in my shed (but not the one you talking about I'm afraid). I usually buy them directly from them but I think B and Q and Homebase also sell them. If you can't do this can you go to a F and B stockist who often have much larger individual squares of their colour, it will give you much better idea of what the colour is like.

Peignoir is gorgeous and not at all pink. We have it in our bedroom and it's definitely a soft pinkish grey than a straight pink. It's in the same vein as Pale Powder so would look really nice if you like your whole house to be in a colour co-ordinated palette (as I do!).

Ps. We have lots of mid-brown antique pine and white above the picture rail, it goes really well.

I have used Pale Powder with an adjoining room in it's blue equivalent (to me) - Borrowed Light. If you decide to go grey a similar depth of colour may be Dimpse but I found grey a bit depressing on darker days. All nice colours so it really depends on personal taste and other items in the room.

Amazing! That's so good to know flame your description sounds perfect - yes hoping for the same sort of ~feel~ For the palette throughout the house! Thank you !!
