Help me quickly decide on a range cooker

Ive been umming and ahhhing for months about which cooker to get. Need a 90cm ideally but could just about stretch to 100cm. Have my eye on either the rangemaster classic deluxe or the stoves richmond

The rangemaster has better colour choices, but i am worried about the narrow width of the tall oven. Does anyone who has one find this a problem? It is much more expensive

The stoves oven is slightly wider - but ive read mixed reviews on the build quality. Less pretty

The difficulty is I cant go and actually LOOK at them in real life so am relying on internet pictures. Unfortunately i live in the middle of nowhere and its a 2 hour trip to a shop that stocks them! Shock HELP ME

I have been researching range cookers for bloody ages , we have a Britannia that has died a death ,12 yrs old and I wouldn't get another one.
Anyway we've decided on a stoves richmond as we're getting induction and the stoves is the only one that will work on 32w electric connection whereas a rangemaster needs 45w which would mean a major hassle for us .

If you're not interested in induction then it's irrelevant to you.

I have 100cm space and the richmond was really impressive , two good size ovens and a small grill/oven with warming drawer . We're getting it delivered on friday so I can't tell you about performance but as for build quality and robustness the stoves felt as sturdy as the rangemaster.

I have a friend who is pleased with the rangemaster 90cm size , although she finds the grill rather annoying apparently because the tray is too close to the grill.

I have got the Rangemaster Classic 90 and I bloody love it. I brought this to replace another make of range cooker that just had one big oven. I found if I was just making a few chips it was a waste to heat such a big oven.
Even though I was a bit worried of the size of the small oven I am totally in love with it. Yes, you do need smaller trays/dishes as it is a slim oven but it has 4 shelves. I have cooked full meals for 5 in the smaller oven. Since getting this Range cooker I have hardly used the bigger oven.

We will be going for dual fuel. Have an induction hob currently and cant get on with it!

Originally i was thinking of the stoves richmond 1000 but cant quite stretch to that size, think a 90cm would be better for the space. The stoves 90 has a wider tall oven so that is definitely a plus

Lost that is good to know that the small oven is still useful. What about the grill?

Has anyone seen any of the coloured rangemasters? Was interested in the royal pearl (grey) but worried it will just look like stainless steel....

Haven't seen the royal pearl in real life but it looks nice online , doesn't look like S/S in the picture , it's enamel isn't it so nice and easy to keep clean. My current rate is S/S and a bugger to clean ,I'm getting light blue tomorrow ...so excited !
The stoves and rangemaster look very similar

I have rhe new range master, it's the 110 though and I love it, heats up super fast, good size ovens and looks good,

Anewcareerforme · 27/07/2017 18:42

I've got a 90cm falcon with two ovens one is narrow. It's the best cooker I've ever bought. I use the narrow oven all the time I'm a pretty serious cook. I only really use the big one for big Sunday lunchs and Im roasting a large piece of meat or if I use my large Le Crueset casserole. I looked at Rangemaster but chose the Falcon as the build quality is significantly better. There's a good choice of colours too.

freelancedolly · 28/07/2017 22:30

Bluntness which Rangemaster 110 do you have? I'm looking to get one of those in stainless steel (am I mad?) but am not sure which model to get.

Loved my Rangemaster 90 but left it in last house. The tall oven would fit 3 chickens to cook! Should you want to do that!!
In fact I used the tall oven most as you could cook 3 different things at the same time. Standard baking trays, oval Pyrex dishes fitted in with no problems.

JT05 · 29/07/2017 10:07

PS it was the stainless steel professional, an absolute dream to keep clean.

I've got a range master 90 duel fuel and I hate the bloody thing. It came with the house and I have the reciepts £1600! The large gas oven is an absolute waste of time, heats up unevenly, burns the back of things - especially pizza, nothing cooks properly on the low shelves. The small electric oven works well but is too small and no window in the door!

We've had it serviced and it's still shit.

I can't wait to get rid of it. Bloody hate the thing.

Polly99 · 29/07/2017 10:15

Don't go with Stoves. We have 1, it is 5 years old.
When it arrived it was missing one of the little gas hob cover things.
The knobs are foil covered plastic and have peeled so need replacing.
Two of the rack slider things have broken.
The grill does not heat up, and when the thing was about a year old the grill door took to falling down and clonking people in the thigh.

Was so excited when it arrived bearing its 'made in Britain' sticker. But it's shoddy!

Anewcareerforme · 30/07/2017 15:42

That interesting Barbara many rave about Rangemaster but a friend who has a duel fuel Rangemaster says the same thing! I did lots of research before I bought the Falcon (which costs more than the Rangemaster bumpy quite a long way). I found a few reviews saying the Rangemaster is more about style and substance. I wonder if it depends who much and what you cook? My friends is a very serious semi pro cook so expecting quite a lot she says she'd never buy another one.

reallyanotherone · 30/07/2017 15:49

I have had both the classic deluxe and professional (same oven, different casing), both in 90 cm.

Use the tall oven all the time. You can get loads in. Only use the big oven for stuff like pizza and cakes that are too wide.

ExConstance · 04/08/2017 15:54

Our Rangemaster is great, recommended by John Lewis as the best.
Ours is a 90 Professional and I use the narrower oven more than the other one it will take my huge Le Creuset casserole dish and all the oblong dishes I have. I bought some oven trays to fit it for things like (don't tell anyone) oven chips. The plate warming rack is very useful if you are using the other oven to cook.

LabourOfLife · 04/08/2017 16:35

we have a range master and its briulliant, had it for 10 years now
