I'm ready to be a grown up and get some good quality bedding but don't want to pay an arm and a leg for rubbish quality.
TIA!

I've used Soak and Sleep for years and never had a problem. I buy 600 count pillow cases ad 200 count fitted sheets in their sales. Agree Laura Ashley bedding is absolutely brilliant.

Tkmax and IKEA

Can't beat The White Company bedding IMO. And it's always on sale. Literally always.

M&S 600 thread count cotton sateen in the sale
These were the biggest waste of money for me. They make me sweat like a mofo. Put me off sateen for life.

M&S 100% cotton, and also one or two great finds on Amazon (though you have to sift through pages of not-so-good stuff!)

Another Laura Ashley fan here, soft, good quality, washes well lasts for ages.

I did lots of research before buying my last lot of bedding and ended up buying White Company sets which were v pricey even with discount - have to say not that impressed, it's looking quite faded, the buttons have come off the duvet and it's a nightmare to iron.

Have a look at Homesense (the homewares division of T K Maxx). Plenty of high thread count white hotel style linen. Also quality branded items like Orla Kiely, Designers Guild etc.

Or if you have any links to the hospitality business take a look at a company called Out of Eden. A quality set of white, decent threadcount bedding (kingsize cover and sheet, 2 housewife and two oxford pillowcases) c £85 inc VAT. Not cheap as such but a lot of quality for the price.

Tk maxx is great for bedding. The best I ever had from there is a Hobbs set. Really thick only thing is it takes ages to dry and I don't have a tumble dryer.

Recently I got a lovely set from the Donna Wilson range at Secret Linen Store (online) the quality is really good and it feels lovely on your skin. I had a code that made it cheaper than full price though.

If you want other sets the cheapest bedding I have that has lasted really well is from Urban Outfitters. 100% cotton and washes really well. I have had one set for 3 years and it still looks new.

I got some ridiculously, unexpectedly lovely sheets off Amazon recently for a twin bed. 400tc and not at all pricey!

I'm surprised that King of Cotton hasn't been mentioned. Better than White Company.. 600 Egyptian Cotton Sateen is heavenly.
