Curtains in bathrooms

I've got a new big bathroom which feels a bit stark and echoey at the moment and considering curtains for the window. Are they likely to get mouldy? Have high ceilings and extractor fan and good heating but don't want to spend that kind of money and then ruin them.

Any thoughts?

I've got roman blinds in 2 of my bathrooms and they are fine. Like yours they are well ventilated, large rooms. I'm not sure I'd have curtains though. More from an aesthetics point of view than anything else.

Not keen on curtains in general but we have a large bathroom window with a lovely fabric Roman blind. We have an extractor fan and I usually open the window when we've showered to air and it's fine. It's been there three yrs and no mould, it's in perfect condition!

Thanks- I'm thinking more dress curtains and possibly a small blind between. Behind roll top bath- high ceilings and antique chandelier kind of look.

My parents have had bathroom curtains for as long as I can remember, set outside the window recess. There has never been an issue with mould. Curtains can soften the look of a room and make it feel more luxurious.
