The year's most boring thread - which white paint?

I actually found myself toying with the idea of buying Farrow & Ball white paint to redo my bannisters throughout for a minute there. Come on Spooks, I chided myself, get a grip.

So can anyone advise which of the cheaper ranges (more suited to my station in life) does the best white satin paint for interior woodwork?

B&Q satinwood very good, but quite liquid compared to gloss. Lovely finish tho.

I have found that own brand paint is less easy to use and often requires more coats. My go to brands are Crown and Dulux. I don't rate B and Q paint at all.

We've tried B&Q anywhere paint in antique white for our hall - it's gone on the tester spaces beautifully and isn't as harsh as brilliant white.?

I found Dulux Satinwood good.

I've noticed that painters tend to use Johnstones paint for woodwork. I have oil based eggshell on my banister. Quite Matt & durable.

Also we used dulux satinwood in our flat & bits that weren't exposed turned yellow within months so behind sofas, chairs, shelves & under plant pot on a windowsill. It was the water based stuff instead of oil so not sure if that made a difference.
