Recommendations for children's bedroom furniture?

We moved house and both the children's bedrooms need decorated from top to toe.
I need wardrobe/ chest of drawers/ bedside table recommendations. Was looking at oak furniture land but have heard bad things about them in recent years.
Preferably oak or white, good quality that will last a good few years but that won't cost the earth lol.

Have you looked at ikea? As long as you don't take things apart or move them too often then it is good value . All the stuff we bought for the kids over the years has lasted well.

Ikea is really good for furniture. But delivery is a bit expensive so it's good to just hire a van.

For decorations, I go for John Lewis & Next.

I think Kids’ bedroom should be warm, bright, comfortable and cozy to make them love spending time there rather than outside of the home.

I have IKEA furniture in all my kids rooms (stuva, malm, Kallax). Does the job, and no worse than any other flat pack stuff.

I've just got ds1 a bed from Made. You have to wait for the stuff to come but it's really lovely, great quality and great children's stuff. The discounts are amazing, ds's bed was £200 down from £600 and I'd been coveting one like it for ages but couldn't afford.
Next also have nicely designed, fairly unusual things and you could get a nice set for not too much £££.
I don't really recommend John Lewis for this sadly. We got wardrobes from there for both ds's and they were £350 each but no better quality than say Argos. The doors are slightly out of balance still on one of them. However ds's toddler bed was £69 and pretty good.

Agree with pp that IKEA is king for this. Most furniture now is flat pack and you can pay a lot (see above re John Lewis) and then end up thinking that IKEA instructions are actually a lot easier to follow than anyone else's!
I also love m&s for doing ready-assembled stuff (useful when you have a ton of stuff to do) and for also taking packaging away afterwards! So no hassle, trips to recycling centre etc.

I agree - I often look at other stores (John Lewis, M&S etc) for alternatives when I feel like I should move on from IKEA, but it's always still just flat pack for three or four times the price. DD's room is a mixture of IKEA and GLTC.

How about Cotswold Company? We kitted out DS room (bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers) in white. Most of it came already made, it was delivered into the room and is great quality.
