Hi what colour would you paint the walls in a girls room with a grey carpet and what shade of grey would you choose for the carpet thanks.

I'd paint a feature wall a really strong purple then the other walls some colour on the pale purple/lilac to grey scale.

DS has quite a dark grey carpet. His bedroom furniture is red (IKEA) and walls are currently magnolia soon to be a pale grey (new build house, we are just about to decorate).

My dds room is grey, pink & turquoise and love that combo. Id go for a light-med grey as dark will make the space look dark and small.

Grey goes with anything. I'd try and make sure it wasn't too light so it doesn't show up dirt quickly, but also get a fairly thick pile as grey carpet can look a bit industrial.

If you don't want to decorate for a while again you could paint all the woodwork a bright white gloss, and the walls in light grey. Then add colour with bright matching accessories e.g. rugs, curtains, duvet covers and photo frames etc.. Easy to change them when you or DD get fed up.

Dsd2 has just had bedroom makeover.....we got grey carpet, white bedroom furniture (hemnes double bed and malm chests of drawers from IKEA), and red and white bedding, throws and cushions from variety of places. this on her chair, and bedside lamps with pale grey shades. It looks lovely, v fresh, and sort of Scandinavian Smile
