Can anyone help me with the excitement of curtain poles?!

I have a 200cm pole at the moment but it sags in the middle where it joins. I don't want a join - just a single pole that is held up from each end with nothing in the middle but can't seem to find one. The curtains have rings and are all bunched up at one side so can't pass over a join.

Thanks for any help. Have looked at lots of websites including someone Cameron but I just can't understand it and know that its the right thing (they didn't have prices on website either).

Thanks

Most poles need some support in the middle as over time it will pull the over supports off the wall. How heavy are your curtains?

They aren't really that heavy so I think one should be able to hold them without sagging if I could buy one and it had good fittings at each end. Thats what I'm hoping anyway!

For a two metre pole to not sag in the middle it would need to be pretty thick and heavy. We have a couple of wide windows with curtain poles and both have a support in the middle. As the curtains meet in the middle it isn't in the way.

I'm a curtain-pole-bore at the moment. I've just received a different style of these: m.johnlewis.com/mt/www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-stainless-steel-passing-bracket-dia-30mm/p231617607#page_loaded
You have to get the incomplete-circle rings to go with it but it means that the curtain can pull all the way across from one side to the other. Would that work?

Thanks Bugsarella I think that's the kind of thing I need to go for. Will try that Smile
