Bathroom flooring advice on colour

We are refitting our ensuite. We are using Bathstore Savoy units in Old English, which is a soft cream. Planning to tile walls half way all round with metro tiles, probably in sage green. Painting in some kind of pale colour above tiles.

So, that just leaves the flooring. I want to use Lino/ vinyl, and have read good things about marmoleum. What colour would you go for? There isn't a skirting board, so tiles will be directly against the flooring. I am torn between a pale grey smooth vinyl, or darker green or something else. Or maybe sage green tiles is wrong?! My head hurts, suggestions welcome!

Oh no, is this just too dull a question?

No - not dull, but I have no experience of marmoleum. I would, however, keep the flooring neutral if the tiles are sage coloured or it'll look a bit 80s to my mind. I would go with something to tone with the units - had a quick look and how about a striato marmoleum?

We are going with a Kardean/ Amtico style wood effect floor. It is like this www.moduleo.co.uk/product/country-oak-24918

I think it would good with cream/green with the benefit of being warm underfoot. I had thought it would be naff, but was very impressed with the wood effect flooring when we went to see it. Moduleo is pretty new and trying to break into the market but just as good as Kardean we have been told - is ~£20m2.

We have Polyflor Colonia in School house Oak in our bathroom. I really like it and it's easy to look after.

I received some samples of sage green metro tiles, and they look too dark. So, change of plan to a pale grey metro tile, and vinyl flooring from colour flooring co., probably in Nordic grey. Thinking paler Walls, darker floor. Some kind of pale grey/shade of White on walls and and ceiling.
Too complicated and scared to get it wrong
