I think you basically need to get some tester pots for grey as the light and other colours in the room will affect the result. Little Green have a big selection of colours and my painter has really sung their praises about how well it went on.

I have used a few grey paints recently and none of them really seem to be grey, they are either blue grey, green grey or beige grey! I have put F&B pavillion in my bedroom which is southish facing and that is a mid grey but with green undertones in our room. I used Little Green onyx in the hall and that emerged a very pale blue (but I really like it) and Manor house grey (F&B) which is prob the most grey but not warm.

Hopefully someone will come along with a proper suggestion!

Pavillion Grey from F&B. My office is done in it. Subtly changes hue in different light.

Another vote for Pavilion Grey, we have it in our living room and it is beautiful. Another friend bought the Dulux colour matched version which was almost identical.

Dulux Silver Mist, we have it in our lounge.

If the other walls are creamy, and you want a warm grey, I don't think pavilion grey will work as it's blue toned. It's lovely, but I don't think it's what you want.

I would look at skimming stone. I have it in my sitting room. It's a warm subtle grey with beige and ever so slightly purple undertones. I have it with cream sofas and it looks lovely. I also think it will be fairly timeless when the worst of the battleship grey trend will date in a few years time.

We have skimming stone too - I love it. Very subtle and it works with beige/naturals in a way some greys don't.

I have pavilion grey and skimming stone. I don't see any grey at all in skimming stone. Pavilion grey is grey, every now and then I see a lilac tinge. I tried silver mist, it looked blue in my house.

We all think pavillion is different - lilac, blue, green! None of these are warm colours though.

My skimming stone is on a wall with a crewel work blind that has a fair bit of grey in it - the wall looks the same as the grey in the blind most of the time.
