Buying art online

I'm moving a piece of art from one room to another and want to replace it. Haven't really got time to go looking round galleries so I was hoping to source something online.

Has anyone done this and can you recommend any sites?

Anyone? No one?

Etsy is worth a look! My husband is an artist and sells some work through there.

I'm rubbish at picking art for walls etc. But I found www.art.co.uk/ which has loads of different categories.

Not went through them all yet or ordered anything from them yet but might be a good starting point?

(I was looking at kids books illustrations for nursery so prints mainly)

My partner and I run a small business where we sell affordable originally art mainly from 1800-1945. Feels a bit pushy to give the name of the site here, but will happily give the details if you want to PM me.

I've been wondering about this too- I am looking for portraits of women for my house and there doesn't seem to be decent access to resources. I promise I won't report you if you put the website on here! Saatchi also does a good website but depends on your budget.

Saatchi v good for choice. You can buy cheap prints or originals for a bit more.

Also, www.artunderamonkey.co.uk/ArtDisplay artunderamonkey are ok.

Some of the stuff on artunderamonkey is a bit ropey though!

I have bought a few items from degree art, as the name implies it is university students but I have some interesting pieces and I feel like I am supporting young talent.
