kitchen cabinets - Annie SLoan or eggshell?

I'm after a bit of a straw poll - I'm about to move house, and want to paint the kitchen cabinets, but can't decide between Annie Sloan chalk paint (no prep except for washing cabinets, but then 3 coats of wax over the paint) or eggshell (prep washing cabinets, primer, then paint - would it need any sort of top-coat?)

WWYD?

thanks muchly

Have you used either? I was planning to do kitchen with annie sloan, but having done some chairs with it don't think I will.

Might just be me though - I know others love it.

Incidentally with the annie sloan - I would use varnish, not wax - its just not tough enough for a kitchen. You'll be re-waxing every couple of weeks.

Eggshell doesn't need anything on top and is very hard wearing. Sensible head says eggshell. Honestly, I would choose the colour I like the best out of the two finishes rather than the type of paint. I think if you are prepared to do all the waxing with Annie Sloane, you will be rewarded with a fairly sturdy finish.

Unless you want an aged look, eggshell. Washable! Spray with cif or flash bleach - able!

I have painted some furniture with Annie Sloan and liked it but am going to do my kitchen with eggshell little greene. I don't think the AS even with two/three coats of wax is hard wearing enough.

I've been looking at paint charts today, looks like the big players (crown & dulux) only do a few colours of eggshell. B&Q have brought out a 'use on anything' paint, wondering if anyone has tried that?
or other eggshell paint manufacturers?
