Trundle bed anybody?

Am soon to redecorate 9 yr old dd's bedroom so am thinking that a trundle bed where a second mattress pulls out from underneath would be a good idea for sleepovers.
Can anyone recommend a manufacturer or got anything I need to know?
Theres lots about but I'm wary of buying furniture on the net where you can't see the quality. I would say budget up to maybe £300 for good quality

Just be aware that they are often very high beds, in order to accommodate the bed below. We got one from j Lewis. Nice.

We've got two (one in each ds's room). One is from JLP, one from Argos. Don't buy from Argos - it's crap.

I have a good quality one. Its been very useful but its shorter than a regular mattress and my boys have grown like weeds. At 12 and 15, they and their friends don't really fit on it any more.

I got mine from marks and spencers but it cost £395 I think.

We have 2, both from John Lewis. Ours are wooden frames so don't make a double/king size/super king bed, just 2 singles. They seem good to us so far.

We have 2 - one is Laura Ashley (old) and one is Marks & Spencers. Quality of both is great. The M&S one has legs which are on springs so when you pull it out and lift it gently, the legs spring open and it comes up to the same height as the normal single bed - good for my parents (pensioners) as its almost like a double bed (when both beds are pushed together) and at normal height (they would struggle to get low down to a "normal" low trundle - well they might get down but they'd never get back up Grin). Both are normal length and width and fit a standard mattress.
