Help me tempt DD into not having a Frozen duvet set?

As she is 16!

She is going away to college & she had decided on citrus colours for her new room (beige carpet & curtains, magnolia walls)

Then she saw the Frozen quilt cover......I need something spectacular to persuade her otherwise......

It might be kind of cool in an ironic way? Many moons ago I went out with a soldier and they had competitions to see who could get the most childish duvet covers. I brought him a Thomas the tank engine one for Christmas and he won!

When I went away to university I had Hello Kitty bedding! Agree it will probably be seen as quite cool Smile

I need a link to thr cover & also do they do them in double size Grin

here

I think she is too young for it to be seen as ironic

My DD loves Frozen .....and she is 17!!!
It is supposedly 'cool'
...wish she would stop singing the songs and playing them on the piano.

Me too - DD alternates Frozen with Rent & I'm not sure which is worse

Chicago & Lion King are at least liveable with

I'd avoid it as it is 52% polyester. Leaving aside the Frozen element. I found that university was like it was raining men (I'd been to an all girls school). I doubt that many men would find that alluring.

Help, DS2 is currently using the Garfield duvet cover DH had in his barrack room.

Sue, I actually LOL'd at the thought that a young man lucky enough to find himself in Op's DD's room might be put off by the duvet cover Grin

KatyMac · 08/06/2014 20:22

Actually - she can have the frozen cover & she is taking ALL her cuddly toys (that have been in the attic for years) & sleeping in her tiger onsie

Lalala I'm putting my fingers in my ears Wink

No boys until 25.
No men until at least 35!

But you can be ironic at 16!!!!

She will be with older students....I think it might be too ironic

& it won't match all the bits we have bought in her chosen colour scheme

I'd say that older students might not find it that ironic. And I want to clarify that I was sitting around in my room chatting to men (looking back now, they were definitely boys). So none of them would have had my Frozen duvet set sprung on them in a moment of passion. Though I still think that Olaf would put anyone off.

DD1 is the same age as your DD she has Tinkerbell and the Disney fairies and glow in the dark aliens, but I think she'd take her embroidered grown up flowers first term at collage.

16 and all new people, isn't second year of uni and flat mates who'd see it as fun.
