Just had a new bathroom fitted all in white with white floor to ceiling tiles...it's very r white!!!

Im accessorising with plum/purple coloured towels and crystal soap dish etc...

Never had a blind at the window before as its soooo tiny/small and the glass is mottled so never needed. PIC ATTACHED

But with this all white too clinical feel I think something at the window would look nice, dont want a roman blind...patterned plum/purple roller blind would be easy but it would have to be pulled down slightly to show the colour, pattern etc...

Is there anything else I could do?

What about a dyed lace curtain like this? Or perhaps dyed a stronger colour?

Plain coloured net looks nice. I used to have a piece of emerald green behind a piece of navy blue. You get different shades of the mixed colours in the folds.

Nice idea but still need something bolder with a pattern and strong colour

I'd go with a stripey roller blind with purple and other colours/hues.

Paint the ceiling / above the tiles. Not something crazy, but maybe a pale dove grey?

What about something like this:

I have patterned Roman blinds in my bathrooms on small windows and they set it off a treat :)

This is quite nice and gives you options if you want to change the towels etc.

I'd cover the glass with a cut to fit piece of transparent coloured plastic.

Damnautocorrect · 05/06/2014 21:23

Yep of go frosted plastic. That way you don't have to worry about mould.

soontobeslendergirl · 05/06/2014 21:26

I have had fabric blinds in all the houses I have lived in since leaving home over 30 years ago - I have never had mould. The thing about windows is that you can open them and air the room :o

this is a roller blind rather than a roman one but it's quite nice:
