after years his soft cotton one is giving up the ghost - will he surrender it? NO WAY
So many are scratchy. he wants a soft cotton or maybe even jersey one, in theory in monochrome patterns

this is a long shot, isnt it?

You can get ones made of t-shirty material, that would work, wouldn't it? You get them everywhere - John Lewis, Sainsbury's etc. Often they're the 'bed in the bag' type things...

eg this

GretaWolfcastle · 21/02/2014 14:23

hi Hazel - yes i saw that, but its a bit prison like Grin

Oh I hope someone comes along with a magic suggestion. I have the same issue Blush I'm so sensitive!

HazeltheMcWitch · 21/02/2014 14:27

That was just an example... Surely this is the type of thing you gte in most places (the tshirty type thing).

Not sure how you replicate the softness of well-worn/washed 100% cotton - you can either go jersey, but that does bobble, or flannel. But both are pretty ubiquitous. Does he want a pattern or a plain ?

My ds1 age 14 is just the same! He can't stand the cheaper scratchy ones. Second hand well washed sets are often ok.

GretaWolfcastle · 21/02/2014 14:30

sorry Hazel - didnt mean to sound shirty.

Snigger at second hand - there might be a business enterprise there, " we wash duvet covers then sell them to you"

HazeltheMcWitch · 21/02/2014 14:32

Ach Greta you didn't sound shirty, I jsut meant that there were loads more...! Grin

2nd hand - pre-worn like a vintage jean - is a thought. Would that be acceptable to the teen ?

soontobeslendergirl · 21/02/2014 14:33

my son likes the soft silky stuff and has this one:

but in a different colour that they dont seem to do at the moment.

PandaNot · 21/02/2014 14:41

Debenhams often have brushed cotton ones, very lovely and soft.

GretaWolfcastle · 21/02/2014 14:42

good tip - other son has IKEA and its been pretty scratchy

plain

soontobeslendergirl · 21/02/2014 14:56

He has another IKEA one (a cheaper one) and it is scratchy, the one I linked to is silky soft without the overly warmness of a brushed cotton - my teens always seem to be hot.

GretaWolfcastle · 21/02/2014 14:59

oh I see - yes I wil look out for them

the red looks nice too from Next
