Old furniture and woodworm

I've just bought on old wooden chest from a junk shop for £20. It's very much like this one here but is 6" longer. It was standing in the rain outside so is in the garage drying out. It looks a bit sad on the outside but seems dry on the inside with it's candle box and in generally good nick.

I'm paranoid about introducing woodworm to the house so wondered what should I be looking for? There is a piece of wood that needs to be reattached to the outside of the bottom (like a bit of skirting) and I can see a few tiny pin-prick holes on this - should I be worried or could it be signs of an old/inactive infestation (if that's the right word!)

Can I treat it in someway just to be on the safe side?

If there is an active infestation you will see small piles of sawdust near the holes. If not it's probably old. It's best to treat it just In case. You can buy woodworm killer. DM me if you need anymore advice, furniture restoration is a hobby of mine x
