what colour Farrow and Ball for a front door? what have you got??

Can't decide. Live in a large detached Victorian house with red brick.
Was thinking manor house grey? Do I go for exterior eggshell or gloss?

Gloss, without a doubt - most suitable for high traffic front door. Don't bother with F&B as it chips & scratches... once the trike & stuff has done their business your door will look very battle worn. Mylands Colours of London are really tops or Little Greene oil based. Suggest classic black - you can't go wrong & always works for me. A strong green of Blue would work well with your red brick facade. Grey is a bit overdone & none too cheerful.

I second Little Greene oil based - they will colour match f and b though if you pick an f and b colour.

we have Little Greene Juniper Ash (a kind of grey ish blue) also have a Victorian red brick. I like it but next time might go for a darker greyish blue (if that's not too adventurous Grin)

What is so special about Farrow and Ball paint?

I see loads of posts about it - almost like it is an exclusive club. What is wrong with good old Crown or Dulux?

Have looked on dulux website and can only see 10 colour choices for weathershield exterior paint. More colour choice with f & b. They also have tester pots.

Little Green gloss finishes or even better Mylands Colours of London for a hard wearing finish. F&B nothing special at all. Why not have a bit of fun & be bold with your colour choice? Deepest, dark colours. How about a deep green-black holly green or similar blue-black. You'll find grey with chrome door furniture are two a penny down in nappy valley :) www.coloursoflondon.co.uk for a colour card. If you don't like it's so much easier to change than a room decor job.

Gloss - definitely.

We live in listed house, so sadly have to keep our front door black, but our french doors at the back are French Gray. It's been on for 2 years and looks like new.

Mylands for Archway House is nearest the grey you mentioned. A darker statement grey with a blue undertone such as Oratory would look fab against red bricks.
