Dull question - stripping wallpaper

It's been a decade since I've done this - is the best way to score it, apply water or steam using wallpaper stripper and then peel/remove with scrapers ?

A decade ago I didn't have kids who will want to join in....

The wallpaper has all been painted and I'm not too worried about the plaster (1950s house) as we will be plastering here and there in the future so could patch up later.

I'd score it and steam it (carefully) and then peel it away with scrapers.

we've just been scoring and wetting it with washing up liquidy water then scraping. works fine, but it doesn't have paint on the top. guess that might make a difference..

Score, steam, peel off satisfying strips, pray the plaster doesn't come off... Hmm (have renovated too many old houses)

The scrapers with a replacable blade in are vg, esp if there are several layers to tackle.

Gin things have obviously moved on over the last ten years ! I shall speak out these magical scrapers on the b&q website now. Many thanks.

i have removed vinyl wallpaper in a hug room by peeling off top layer without soaking, then scoring the paper underneath the vinyl topcoat and soaking with wallpaper remover and a sponge with a scraper thing. never used a steamer but them im not a tool/ diy person normally.
