How do you display your kids' pictures? Is there such a thing as a stylish large noticeboard?

the kids seem to come home with half a dozen pictures each every day. I don't know where to put them (even once I've trawled through and just picked favourite). We had a washing line arrangement for quite a long time (i.e. I strung a piece of red ribbon from one wall to another and pegged the artwork up on it) but it was starting to look a bit scruffy so was considering a large noticeboard but looking online they're all a bit ugly: any ideas? Would be v grateful

watching with interest as I've been wondering the same Smile I think I might get one of those plastic pocket thingies, quite expensive but they look nice filled up.

I bought a pinboard which had a map of the world on it. I didn't like the ugly old corkboard style.

Have you seen the ones from beyond the fridge?

Although I ended up buying a huge sheet of stainless steel from ebay, cut to my own dimensions, and use extra strong magnets from amazon.

Have a look here

I spent ££ on making a beautiful pinboard for DD. I had intended it to be really large and for the kids artwork. Posted on here about it, seemed the best thing to do was to make something. Ordered a vintage style frame from ebay, they sent the wrong size, still really big but not the oversized one I had wanted. It just seemed like too much hassle to send it back, bubble wrap all well and truly popped. So I decided it would look cute in DD's room for bits and pieces. Bought cork boards, glue, pretty fabric and ribbons. And then I found the above website and cried

DD's pinboard does look lovely but I probably spent as much as I would have done had I bought one from the notice board company and they do come in really large sizes. I think you can make a request as well if they don't have exactly what you want.

On eBay I searched plastic pockets I think and there's a thing that you hang on the wall with lots of A4 plastic pocket- like those shoe ones but to put artwork.

We have a peg (google 'personalised masterpiece peg') and alternate the picture at the front occasionally.

I bought a big frame from the range (£10) got a big abbey of steel from the local steel fabricators (used yell.com) it was £5. I covered it with fabric, put it in the frame and bought some strong coloured magnets from eBay
I thi k it looks fab

Thanks so much for the responses. You are a creative lot. Love the idea of getting the basic materials and covering it in fabric but I'm not terribly gifted in that area and when I do stuff like that it tends to look crap. Still a bit tempted to do that though.

last night and yawning love those links.

Also found this arrangement on pinterest, which I rather like:

Magnetic paint straight on the wall with lots of magnets can look nice.

on phone so not sure if someone already suggested this. you can get sort of box frames with open top to slot in a picture. come in single double or triple if i remember right. think great little trading company do them

I stuck together 4 big ikea pin boards as a quick fix- we have modern/industrial style decor. Together they make one huge notice board for recent kids pics certificates etc. I thought about a huge sheet of plain cork but as I was on ikea this seemed easier, cost about £1.50 each. We stuck them on with Velcro pads to get them flush. Not stylish exactly but pleasing once covered with their bits and bobs.

Then for really Special pieces I've made a 'gallery' wall of cream a4 frames. I rotate the pieces from time to time and they're really proud of it. I've just put 4 frames there for now.
