Batiq tiles & plain floor or microline tiles and patterned floor?

For the utility room which has been completely gutted, damp proof course put in etc. Being done on a budget. The house is a Victorian terrace. Have gone for stat white kitchen cupboards, lovely ceramic sink, wooden work top. There will be a small computer desk in the room as well as lots of kitchen cupboards for storage and washing machine. DP wants vinyl flooring so I had found this

www.harveymaria.co.uk/Floor-Range/Neisha-Crosland

With cream microline tiles

But then I saw these

www.toppstiles.co.uk/tprod44324/section100/Batik-Patchwork-Blue

I would just want them in one colour, not mixed, probably blue.

And now I am Confused.

It is a really small space, walls would definitely be white.

I really like the Harvey Maria flooring but obviously couldn't have that with the patterned tiles. And I am really not sure about any of the plain vinyl Ai have seen.

Any ideas or opinions either way as to which would look better in a small space?

TIA

I love the harveymaria floor tiles. A classic look which will not date.

Not sure about the Batik wall tiles. A retro look not to everyones taste.

I would go for plain wall tiles.

Thanks Always, I think you are right, I do love the floor tiles so am going to stick with them. DP has also now come round to my original tile choice which are these

Just need to decide on the colour for the floor tiles, would you go Sage or Stone? Guess to be sure I need to see them up against the tile but have already ordered a ton of samples and John Lewis which is near to me only seems to stock the charcoal, Stone and Turquoise.

Exactly the tiles I would have suggested, and the supplier I recommend too. They stock the same tiles as fired earth. The flat edged brick ones are easier to work with, the ones with a chamfered edge will need an expert tiler as they are more difficult to work with ( I like them though) . I will look at the colours and think about it.

I would go stone because its a classic but I would not totally discount the charcoal colour, once on the floor colours appear a lot lighter ie cream floor tiles look off white and beige floor tiles look cream, depend what colour your door and window frames are, what colour are your appliances?

Just love the stone, very fired earth looking.

Thanks very much Always. I had ruled out the charcoal because I thought it might be too dark but maybe it could work really well. It is a utility room so no appliances as such apart from the washing machine which is white, white kitchen cabinets from ikea

www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S59811045/

and a white ceramic sink from Wickes

www.wickes.co.uk/round-bowl-ceramic-sink/invt/213492/?source=123_74&tmcampid=104&tmad=c&tmplaceref=PPC_ggl_0006635&tmcustom=mkwid%7CW5fPyZGt%7Cpcrid%7C7531858372%7Cmatch%7C%7Cplid%7C&gclid=CP_c4NiInrgCFbMbtAodwWsA3Q

And a wooden work top. Planning on walls and woodwork being white.

I am thinking the Valencia tiles and charcoal floor just now but will try and head to a stockist this week and try it out as maybe Stone is the safer bet. I just need to work out what handles to go for now! A lot less confused now though, have some Flowers Always.
