Ive never been before. We have to do the museums one day (hopefully it wont be as hot as this!!, I like the look of the tree walk in Kew Gardens and I wondered is there enough in there to keep the children occupied and what else is in the area?? thanks.

We love Kew Gardens. There is an inside and outside play area which my two love (3.5yrs and 18months) and plenty of outside space to explore and walk around. We often get there at 10am and wander around the gardens and play area and stop for some lunch. Most of the cafes/restaurants do cute little pick and mix packed lunches for the kids (think they are about £3-4 pounds). Not allowed bikes or scooters so if they are young take a stroller unless they are good walkers. There is a nice lake too with lots of ducks. If it is a nice day it is really beautiful and chilled place to wander. The conservatories amaze my kids and the water lily house is awesome. Hope you have fun. Not cheap to get in though think it is 13.50 for adults. Kids are free, but we are members so go often as we love it. H

Oh and the lift for the tree walk does not work so be prepared to walk up the stairs but great view once you are up there.
Have fun.

Personally I wouldn't go to Kew if I only had 2 days in London.

It is good but imo not worth the trip out of central London when you have such a limited time. Things like the London Eye, a boat trip down the Thames (even that duck thing?), Tower of London, trip on the top of a London bus, Hamleys, might all be worth considering.

Trip on the boat over to Greenwich.

we havent done the duck tour. The 8 year old wants to go to the V and A but it looks abit stuffy to me for her age??? We have a couple of Merlin passes so would like to use them. Ive never been to the wax works, I dont know if they will enjoy it. In this weather is there anywhere with a paddling pool? I only know North London. They are doing the Tudors at school so I think the tower is a must. Do you think Kew is too out of the way? They are very active and I dont know anywhere central that has an outdoor play area.
