I'm not sure for how many people, but we stayed here a couple of years ago and it was lovely. www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/p88832

Thanks thighs - but it's booked. Looks lovely though for another time!

Anyone else please? Only 4 of us, so just a little bolthole with pool would be lovely!

I know I've left it a bit late!!!!

Have you got anywhere in mind? Would recommend looking at the local tourism office websites. Saumur, Chinon, Cholet, Tours, Angers. Will have a search for you in a few mins.

This is a good place to start:

Gite de France

In the search box if you select:
Region: Pays de la Loire
Department: Maine et Loire

Then enter your dates, click on criteria and you can select that you want a swimming pool. This should narrow your search down to properties avaliable when you need, in the right region, with a swimming pool.

Hope that helps.

I found the Loire really boring.

Sorry that doesn't help does it!

There are only so many chateau you can see in a week. We stayed just east of Tours.

We stay just south of the Loire valley in Charente- maritime in a gite - one of six. The gites are called La Garenne www.livingfrance.org/
