Places to visit in Wales.

After much deliberating, our holiday plans have had to change yet again. It now looks as though we will be camping in wales, Pembrokeshire to be exact. I'm trying to find activities for us to do, ideally free or low cost. We're staying for about 5 nights. Our dc's are 6 (on the tuesday we are away!) and 3. Any ideas?

I haven't got much time atm, but there have been threads on Pembs in the past. Try looking in the archive under travel. If I have time later, I'll do a search as well. Post a link here if you manage to find it/them if you can.

We like Dinosaur park and folly farm, both about £5-£7head iirc.
Boat trip to caldey Island is lovely but not cheap.
Pembroke Castle is very good if your kids like history (henry Vii born there) and not too dear (?£2 a head?)
Lots of gorgeous beaches, Tenby, Manorbier, Freshwater East, Saundersfoot, Little Haven, Broad Haven.... (all free)
Nice swimming pool at Tenby, pretty cheap too.
Nice walking (Pembs coast path) if you?re up to it (also free)

Lots of good ideas on this thread. Also look out for Heatherton. You can do lots of things there ie crazy golf, boules (sp?), water boat rides, etc. Great for kids and not at all expensive the times we've been there. Close by there's a garden centre with an excellent tearoom. Avoid Sunday lunch time, though as they do bookings for Sunday lunch. I think you can just turn up at all other times.

Bosherton Lily ponds-lovely easy walks beside the lakes with great views.
A lovely farm park called Cardigan Bay Coastal Farm park. It is much less commercialised than Folly Farm and has lots of friendly animals to feed. You can also look down into the sea and look at the seals swimming below.
