Disneyland Paris at Christmas - what's it like in the festive season?

We've been to DLP before, but have now booked for this Christmas.

What's it like at Christmas - do they pull out all the stops. What extra festivities are laid on....?

..and most importantly, we are staying at the Disneyland Hotel - will they put a Christmas tree in each room? (if not I will pack a small artificial tree).

Can't say for Paris - but Disney World Florida is fantastic. So Paris should be too. Hope you have loads of fun. We did. And maybe now we have had children we may do it again

We're going to do Florida in a year or so, but the youngest is 16 months currently so can't face a longer flight with him (fidget pants - hates being confined like most lo's his age)

HI We went to DLP last Christmas and it was fab!!! the hotels and the resort were so Christmassy, they ahd fake snow falling, Santa in the parade and cheesy Disney Xmas music!!! Fantastic!! Kids loved it somuch they still play the parade CD in August (Dance c'est Noel!!!) . The rooms int he hotel weren't decorated (we stayed in the Newport Bay) but the hotel was.

Enjoy!!!

Just noticed your post hmc as we're going late December too, but not actually over Christmas, shortly before.

Having been once before in the summer I wanted to see the Christmas parades (sorry, mean dd wants to see the parades ) and then I feel I need never go again!!

We went last Christmas too and it was fantastic -there are some useful earlier threads on here if you search the archived conversations. It is important to remember though that it generally is very cold - much colder than here - you will all need gloves and hats! It does make it more festive but if you have littlies they will need plenty of layers. Have fun.

Bl**dy cold - but very festive

Hi ya. I'm not a disney fan at all but following a very bad year last year we took the kids to DLP for christmas to ensure that they at least had a good time. Boy was I in for a shock. Lets just say that we were on a waiting list waiting to book this years. We cut our summer holiday down to one week just to fund it and yes I'm excited already. Last year we didn't stay in the Disneyland hotel (but we are this year) so can't answer the tree question.

I bought ski gear from Asda for the kids and it worked a treat.

We go on the 23rd and come back late on the 26th. The 23rd and 24th are empty in the park (or they were last year) so you can go round all the rides again and again (which dh did to the point that his hair was standing on end). The park fills on Christmas day but yes there's loads and loads of extra entertainment and as an extra touch as you arrive the park is filled with attendants giving away hot chocolates and sweets. There is a spectacular atmosphere and its honestly incredibly wonderful.

Like I say have never ever been a disney fan - but possibly am now one on the side.

hmc, I am so envious! We stayed in the Disneyland Hotel but not at Christmas, so I don't know about the trees. My friend went in December and she said it was very cold, but great fun. So yes, plenty of thermals and layers.
When we arrived at the Disneyland Hotel, I got quite emotional (and I am quite cynical normally) because it was so grand. Our DDs were totally wide-eyed at it all. I told DH it was my hormones making me like that (I was pg with DS at the time)but I think if we ever save up enough to return I will be just the same!

Good on you Wills
I'm not a disney fan either! But seem to become one the minute I get there

Calpopscalum, am hoping dd will have grown out of it by the time we could go again!
