Have you been to a place call Bewlwater? (google it!) it's in Kent, nr Tonbridge if I remember rightly, we went there last week.

Massive reservoir which has a walking trail all the way round, or you can take your bikes or hire them there. 13 miles all the way round but we just went a few miles with my 6 yr old. Theres a huge adventure playground, ducks to feed, a cafe, smaller play area, picnic areas, kids fishing pond, toilets and other stuff during the holidays like a giant inflatable slide and hydroballs - blow up balls the kids run around in on a ahuge paddling pool. i think it's about £4 per ad and £3 per child to get in but it's a great value day out and you get fantastic views, plus the area is kept spotless!

Not sure where in Kent you are but how about Tonbridge Park? There are slides/swings suitable for 6 year olds and toddlers, a large sandpit (take your own buckets/spades) and usually a bouncy castle in hols. Also there is a crazy golf course but may not suit your younger ones.

Bewl is good fun but personally I think its expensive and the cycle track can be bumpy (also assume you aren't cycling as you mention a buggy).

Another attraction in NW Kent is Lullingstone Park. You can walk from visitor centre along river to Lullingstone castle and back, easy for buggys and you can get an icecream at the end. You can pay to go in the Castle (which is more of a manor house) and visit the World Garden which the children may enjoy running around but to be
honest the walk is probably enough at their age.
